As I understand it this story is being covered widely in India, and the United States has been in direct conversation with the Indian Ambassador about it ... so this is now, officially, an international incident that highlights not only the United States' known problem with permissive gun laws, but the dirty little secret of White Supremacist Terrorism that the US Government prefers not to address.
A reminder, many of the nations in the world that are our strategic geopolitical and economic partners are neither White nor Christian,and incidents like this create a major perception problem for the United States, beyond the immediate tragedy to those affected.
