What these 40 Congressmen and Congresswomen are are whores. I doubt they care a whit about the issue one way or another, but the Right Wing sources of money that finance their election wins and keep them in their coveted seats do, and that is all that matters.
We give them too much credit when we call them ideologues, for that requires a certain degree of intellectual effort these individuals are incapable of.
