I can't believe that this dust up with Akin caused Romney to publicly say that he and Ryan believe that abortion is acceptable in some cases ... that's touching the third rail for conservatives.
Romney's camp must be in panic mode to wander into this mess and take ownership of Akin's words with a statement of their own. What horrible political instincts demonstrated by the Romney Camp, and now Ryan is tarred with being pro-abortion too!
