Wall Street has been playing us since the crash of 2008. The United States has been in an undeclared Depression since then. The factors required to declare a Depression have been so tampered with that it is impossible to construct a valid scenario in which a Depression would be declared, and that is by design.
The United States is not moving into Recession, it has never exited the Depression it entered in 2008.
The "New Economic Normal" involves disregarding the truth.
