Mitt is a rich man's son. He is used to people deferring to him and pampering him. It's not that he can't accept scrutiny or criticism ... it's that he doesn't believe that is something he even should have to deal with.
Folks, get a clue about this guy ... his father was a candidate for President and CEO of American Motors. He is an Aristocrat. The media is supposed to know its place and cover for him. That is what Mitt feels he is entitled to.
