Felon Voting Laws Disenfranchise 5.85 Million Americans With Criminal Records: The Sentencing Project
I think the answer to this is simple. If a person is serving time in Prison for a crime they should have their voting right restricted ... when they serve their time they should get their right to vote back. Then again, if the purpose for charging minorities and the poor with felonies is to get them off the voter rolls then the answer to a reasonable suggestion, like mine, would be to lengthen sentences and find reasons to implement more life sentences. If only we lived in a moral and ethical world.
