Ron Paul is so smitten by Ayn Rand he even named his son for her ... here's the problem for the umpteenth time:
AYN RAND WAS A FICTION WRITER!!!!!
She was the L Ron Hubbard of economic theory, and, additionally, she was a hypocrite ... for at the end of her life she did accept Social Security and Medicare, despite her Objectivist rants on limited government.
I firmly believe, as I stated before, that Libertarians long to return to a time in American History that never existed. This fend for yourself nonsense in the wake of a natural disaster is part of the folly that is Ron Paul, who would likely view the fate of the Donner Party as an act of the sublime.
Human beings within a civilized society look out for one another. Whatever happened to "There, but the grace of God, go I?" ... Ayn Rand balked at that one, as we know.
