When you remember that the sociopaths on Wall Street would be happy profiting off the elderly by turning them into Soylent Green and selling them to the third world as nutritional supplements if they could, you can easily see that gutting Social Security and Medicare makes perfect sense for them.. The Lords of Wall Street are broken toys with dangerous amounts of power they don't deserve. There is nothing wrong with Social Security or Medicare that a some minor tweaking won't fix. As soon as you recognize that every "trusted" voice in politics relies on campaign contributions from the For Profit Health Care Industry, and Wall Street you immediately understand where their faux sincerity to "fix" Social Security and Medicare comes from. Bottom line, never trust people with power ... EVER ... they are there for themselves, not for you.
Don't cave on on Social Security and Medicare, AARP, or we will bail on you.
