Rush Limbaugh's Advertiser Desertion Feels Good, But Why Doesn't It Feel Right?

I like that the firewall has dropped and the American People can take direct action on an issue, especially when the individual who transgressed was previously seen as untouchable.

I don't even view the Maher issue as comparable to this, though the Right is really pushing hard to frame that as the fact. Ms Fluke was a private citizen who merely wanted to speak to Congress regarding an issue that was important to her and she had first hand knowledge in in terms of women's health issues ... and Rush degraded her for three days with hateful attacks that had no relevance to Ms Fluke at all. Sarah Palin, on the other hand, was a politician running for VP on the Republican ticket, who was frankly not a nice or honest person. It was Palin who blew the race baiting dog-whistle to further her aims and attack the President. If you get down in the sewer expect to be covered in excrement. Everyone is treating Palin like Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, she has a far darker heart than that.

Will they come after us again next time ... and HARD? Absolutely, for turnabout is fair play, but as long as we give it better than we get it it's all good. If Rush can be taken down by this, there is no foul. He started this, we can finish it..
