A Viper In the Grass: Could the Supreme Court Find Medicaid, And Programs Like It, Unconstitutional?

The Constitutionality over whether or not the Federal Government can force the American People to support a For Profit Business is what this case is really about. If the Post Office is Constitutional (Which I assume it is since its existence is hard-coded into the US Constitution itself) then any other program, like Medicare and Social Security, etc, is just as lawful under the US Constitution.



The Post Office, a Constitutionally sanctioned Federal Service, is the foundation point why other similar services that support the General Welfare are acceptable. There is a lot more to the United States Constitution than the Commerce Clause ... for instance, the Postal Clause.
