If I were the President of the United States, and I was dealing with corporations undermining the country like GE and Goldman Sachs, after I won re-election I'd go after their soft-white underbelly like these corporations never thought possible.
I'd find the one slip-up in GE's business practices ... the one place they were covertly engaged in sales with Iran through a subsidiary, for instance ... and I would use that as an excuse to write an Executive Order cancelling all of their Government and Defense Contracts no matter what stage the project was in. In short, I'd engage in punitive retribution with extreme prejudice against the company for crossing me. ... and the US
In Goldman Sach's case, I would replace AG Holder with AG Spitzer .... and I would direct AG Spitzer to bring indictments. I would want to see Goldman Execs frog marched out of the headquarters in manacles, and if the US press wouldn't cover it, I'd make sure the foreign press did. My goal would be to destroy confidence in the company globally and cost it market share.
If I were President that is what would do, because if someone stabbed me ... and the US ... in the back they would have to pay for that act.
Of course, President Obama is a nice guy, so I'm sure GE and Goldman are safe.
