Maher was going after a politician, which is considered fair game ... as Hillary Clinton can attest. Ms Fluke was a private citizen who wanted to address Congress in regards to a matter it was discussing, and was barred from testifying by Congressman Issa. Had Issa allowed Ms Fluke to speak in the first place Rush wouldn't be in the position he is now. Issa made Ms Fluke into a national focus on this issue, if he would have allowed her to speak to his committee none of us would know her name right now, and Rush wouldn't be on the ropes hemorrhaging advertisers.
I knew the GOP would regret putting Issa in a position of responsibility and I was right.
