Chuck Hagel Media Debate Framed By Neocons

Let's understand something, there is no money in winning a war. The money is in a standoff that lasts for years and grinds up resources that have to be replaced. Does anyone know why we are still in Afghanistan? Because it costs $2 billion dollars a week to be there ... and that two billion dollars a week winds up in someone's pocket as profit. If the NeoCons want war with Iran it is because they want to be at war with Iran for a very long time. There is very good money in that, and the cost in human lives lost or ruined is meaningless to those making the money because they know no one they care about will be harmed.

Hagel, having a background as a soldier, is the worst possible candidate for the NeoCons, because he has empathy for both the troops, and likely the civilians of the war zone ... that get's in the way of making money.

Remember the words of Smedley Butler "War is a Racket."
