George Zimmerman In Custody, Charged With Second-Degree Murder In Trayvon Martin Case


To prevent this problem in the future, if the people of Florida really want the "Stand Your Ground" law in place, the law should be amended to require a judge to sign off as accepting the killer's "Stand Your Ground" justification. Whether a killing is justifiable or not should never be unilaterally decided at a police station. Simply not charging a person for a killing to bypass the legal system is insane. Whether the "Stand Your Ground Law" covers a case must be decided in a court of law at least.
