Alex Gibney, Oscar-Winning Documentarian, Blasts Torture Portrayal In 'Zero Dark Thirty' (VIDEO)

Let us be clear. Torture was an ego game for the NeoCons, nothing more. It stiffened the spine of chicken-hawks in the administration that have never put their lives on the line for anything. The individuals the Bush Administration tortured were tortured for the pure demented pleasure of some in the Administration to order their torture.

There are people like this in the world, sadly.

Someone in the Intelligence Community, and the Bush Administration also thought it would be cute to torture some of these individuals on the USS Bataan, and anyone who is familiar with the history of Bataan knows that decision was as close to blasphemy as it comes.

Nothing good came out of torturing prisoners, and no heroes were associated with implementing it at any level ... it was a betrayal of American Values.

If Bigelow wanted to spin the value of torture in capturing Bin Laden, maybe her film would have been better titled "Triumph of the Will."
