This is what I find truly frustratin
g. The Right elects a President, Reagan, Bush41, and Bush43, and these Presidents recognize they represent the Right and they push through the agenda of the Right without apology. The Left works hard to get a President in office, Clinton, Obama, and as soon as they are sworn in they give one of those wonderful "I'm the President of ALL Americans" speeches, and then continue to further the Corporate Right agenda. The last "Liberal" the left can cite is LBJ. If the Democrats want to carry water for the Republican
s they should just merge with the Republican
s and become the new moderate wing of the GOP.
The Left needs its own party. A party for Labor, Seniors,Co
nsumers, Students, Educators, Farmers, Scientists
, Environmen
talists, Women, Veterans, the Jobless, the Homeless, in short, a party for the people.
This current political dynamic is not working for the majority of Americans ... there is only one corrosive political will promoted by the Democrats and Republican
s, It is time to recognize that and invent a New American party to confront that detrimenta
l dynamic.
