Business needs to be reined in and muzzled. The interests of the people of the United States is not served by our elected officials constantly caving to the interests of Business. If the interests of Business are the only interests worthy of addressing
, if the majority of the American people who work for a living are seen as an enemy of the US Government
, because elected officials, bought by Business, only see their service in terms of winning the next election, and therefore favor the unreasonab
le demands of Business over those who actually elect them to office ... then the American Democracy is a failure.
We need to divest Business of its strangleho
ld over our elected officials by institutin
g public financing of elections and ending quid pro quo corruption as free speech protected by the First Amendment ... only then will this nation return to being "of the people, by the people. for the people".
