I was watching MSNBC (the conservative time of the day) and I was interested to hear the term "September Surprise" invoked. A "September Surprise" that would change the outcome of the election.
I hear "September Surprise" I don't thing of the happenstance of current events influencing an election outcome ... I think premeditated plot by a political party to influence an elections outcome.
Like when Nixon operatives tampered with the Vietnam peace negotiations in 1968, extending the war by seven years, costing 25,000 US Military personnel their lives in order to get Nixon elected.
Or when Reagan operatives in 1980 tampered with the release of hostages from the US Embassy in Tehran in order to defeat Jimmy Carter.
A "September Surprise". Cheney emerges from his crypt to chastise President Obama, while his henchman Netenyahu creates a dust up about a snub. Then a anti-Islamic movie by an Israeli-American incites violence in Egypt and Cairo costing a US Ambassador his life.

America, what are we really seeing here?
