Democratic Convention 2012: Romney Campaign Launches GOP Response At Dem Convention
"Are you better off today than you were four years ago?" is a very bad question for the Republicans to ask this time around.
Let's go through the litany once more. The American Auto Industry and millions of associated jobs were saved. Bin Laden is dead and Al Qaeda is diminished, People have seen the Stock Market recover along with their 401ks. We aren't losing 700,000 jobs a month like we were when Bush was President. Obamacare has closed the donut hole for prescription drugs for Seniors saving them money, has prevented Insurance Companies from dropping policy holders when they get sick, allows young adults to stay on their parent's insurance until they are 26 ... and that is just the start of the benefits. Bush's war in Iraq is over and is winding down in Afghanistan bringing soldiers home to their families. ICE is no longer actively hunting for undocumented people brought into this country illegally by their parents as children who are beneficial contributors to the US economy and society ...
These are just a few things that make today better than four years ago, and there are many, many more.
President Obama has had remarkable success in his first term despite having a recalcitrant Republican Congress sabotaging things every step of the way.
Is America better off today than it was when George W Bush was President four years ago?
Absolutely it is.
