Background Check Vote Set Even As Outlook Grows Dire

We can reward every politician who votes against these anemic gun safety measures with an Internet chock full of grisly crime scene photos with a picture of the offending Senator or Congressman and the words:

'Brought to you by the Gun Manufacturers, their NRA, and Senator (insert name here)"

Linking the image of the elected official with the wanton gun mayhem they are willing to allow continue will be like skunk spray their constituents will wear right to the ballot box. It might not effect all of their voters, but it will link a vote for them with mass murder.

Boston Marathon Terror Attack: FBI Seeks Suspects, No Unexploded Devices At Crime Scene

I didn't know that pressure cookers were being used to make bombs, but thanks to a recent radio news report not only am I aware of this possibility, but I have a fairly clear idea how such a bomb is built and detonated.

Tell me, how do you define clueless, self-defeating and socially irresponsible? I think this news organization clarified these definitions for me.

Boston Marathon Terror Attack: FBI Seeks Suspects, No Unexploded Devices At Crime Scene

I think the likelihood of finding a Saudi national running away from the bombing was actually quite high. Boston is home to some of the most elite and globally revered institutions of higher learning, and because of that students from all around the world attend universities there. I'm guessing there were people from all over the world attending the Boston Marathon, and a majority of those people were running away from the site of the attack, along with fleeing Americans.

Let's not allow stereotypes distract us and potentially allow the real perpetrators to escape in the confusion.

Boston Explosion News: At Least 3 Dead, 140 Injured In Marathon Bombing (LIVE UPDATES)

If this was an attack from abroad I believe we would already know, because foreign terrorist groups always rush to claim credit. I also think there are many Americans who, in their heart of hearts, want this to be a foreign attack, because the implications of this as a domestic attack recalibrate things in a disconcerting way. I remember the failed attack in Spokane where a white separatist group left a bomb in a backpack along the route of a MLK parade ... that was the first thing that came to mind in this case, not Saudis. These folks show they have experience with bomb making, and, as in Timothy McVeigh's case, have military background ... so even if the bomb has the signature of an IED found in Afghanistan or Iraq, that doesn't remove domestic terrorism from the equation.

One additional thing, whomever did this needs to have been classified as terrorists under the broad definition of the word, and should be treated exactly the same way an Al Qeada terrorist would be once identified. We can't be sentimental if these villains turnout to be Americans, and if they are Americans, and want to play Ruby Ridge Second Amendment Games ... cook them to the ground with airstrikes. Don't give them the pleasure of a gunfight.

Roy Blunt Raises Specter Of Federal Gun Registry, Despite Explicit Ban

If we register and insure cars we should register and insure guns too. That falls well within the parameters of "well regulated", invoked in the 2nd Amendment. My questions is, why do people want to keep their ownership of guns hidden? That's very suspicious in itself.

Progress Kentucky, Liberal PAC, Has Little Cash, Influence

I'm sure this controversy can turn around Progress Kentucky's fortunes. Personally, I like fighters, and this organization has spunk. Too much of the Democratic Party establishment is like a Jaycees operation, where the greatest controversy is whether to go with cupcakes or cookies at the bake sale.

To Fight is To Win, and at least Progress Kentucky is fighting.

No Bullshit, Please

Why? Because wait times and background checks would blow the lid off the illegal gun trade US Gun Manufacturers profit mightily from due to our lax gun laws. That's why. Every gun that is shipped in bulk from the United States to warlords and drug lords around the world has to be bought somewhere. Lax gun laws provide plausible deniabilty to the US Gun Manufacturers in this profit making endeavor. That's why we can't have reasonable background checks and wait times.

Jacob Conway Backtracks On Progress Kentucky Mitch McConnell Claims

It's conceivable that the Jefferson County Democratic Party in Kentucky has been captured by McConnell and the Republicans, and that is why they came to Mitch's rescue by blowing the whistle on the only group in Kentucky willing to go bare knuckles to take on McConnell ... Progress Kentucky. If not captured, it certainly seems that branch of the Democratic Party in Kentucky is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.

Kentucky Democrats Are Still Playing Mitch McConnell's Game

I'm curious why the Democratic Establishment in Kentucky was so quick to out Progress Kentucky ... do they see them as a tangible threat to the Democratic Party in Kentucky? The argument was they were trying to "protect" the Democratic Party by ratting out PK, but by so doing they not only implicated themselves in knowing the taping occurred, but also are carrying McConnell's water by doing so ... hardly protecting the Democratic Party of Kentucky in either case. I'm seeing Progress Kentucky being pilloried as "amateurs", but the Democratic Party of Kentucky is so sloppy in their "professionalism" they could almost be accused of colluding with McConnell in this transmuting of the narrative to his favor..

Progress Kentucky Made Secret Mitch McConnell Recording, Democratic Source Tells Station

Something smells about this Dem Conway implicating Progress Kentucky. I wonder if this branch of the Democratic Party has be captured by McConnell and the Republicans? Progress Kentucky hasn't been afraid to go after the turtle's soft white underbelly ... namely his hidden wife Elaine Chao, whose close family/business relationship with leaders of Communist China is a bit unseemly for an American Politician, like McConnell, who has so much power in the Senate. I'm guessing Progress Kentucky might go after McConnell on that, while a captured branch of the Kentucky Democratic Party wouldn't ... of course Conway is saying his actions were only to "protect" the Democratic Party. Sure.

McDonald's Orders Friendly Service After Customer Complaints Rise: Report

I once worked for a business that decided it wanted to institute a tie policy. I don't like wearing ties. Never have. So in order to honor management's request I went to a clothing shop on Haight Street in San Francisco ... Aardvarks Odd Ark ... and for $10 bought 25 ties out of a barrel of ties they had. Some ties were wide ... some narrow. Some were shiny, others funeral home dull. Some were psychedelic ... one had a scene from "Fiddler on the Roof".

I started wearing the ties and before I reached the 15th one the tie policy was rescinded.

My boss asked me where I got the ties. I told him. He asked me how much they cost. I told him. He smiled and said:

"I think you may have overpaid."

I responded:

"They were worth every penny."
