But the Republicans DO understand the economy quite well. Republicans understand the economy is supposed to serve the rich at the expense of the middle-class and poor. The success the Republicans have realized in meeting this end over the last three decades illustrates the GOP has no problem comprehending the way the economy MUST work. The Republicans also know that as long as they provide their base with someone to hate ... liberal, black, gay, poor, immigrant, etc ... they will have no problem robbing them blind too.
