Kodak's Bankruptcy Exit Plan Approved By Judge
Kodak's fate is a cautionary tale for all businesses. Prior to the development of digital cameras, Kodak had a near monopoly on film stock for still and movie cameras. Paul Simon even had the hit "Kodachrome" after one of Kodak's products. But as soon as digital cameras hit the market, it was over for Kodak. They may still provide film stock for niche markets, but otherwise their era is over. If it can happen to Kodak, it can happen to any company. I think that is why the Fossil Fuel Industry is at open warfare over Climate Change and development of Renewable Energy sources ... they don't want to be the next Kodak.
It's a case of survival of an industry versus progress.
