What this indicates to me is that the special interests that back this restrictive approach to science recognize scientific research could eliminate their political and economic control, and render their industries obsolete. This admission on the special interest's part buoys my optimism for the future and demonstrates the need for the American People to up the ante on non-politicized scientific research so they and their descendents can enjoy the scientific benefits of tomorrow, as our predecessors gifted us.
