A Capitalist is someone who lives off of money that makes money. If you don't live off of money that makes money, you aren't a Capitalist. The most refined state of Capitalism is Feudalism ... where the Lords control all the land, commerce and power, and the serfs squabble amongst themselves for scraps from the Master's table. There is nothing attractive in that social dynamic for me, for it requires me to believe that one set of mortals are to be valued more than another set of mortals due to their talent of hoarding wealth and resources ... that is folly.
What the US Government is currently empowering though application of corporate socialism is the rise of the Corporate Feudal State, roughly built on the template of Company Towns Coal Mining firms once ran. The miners in those towns were serfs whose living conditions were determined by the Company.
A hybrid Socialist/Regulated Capitalist model affords the greatest stability and longevity for a society, for it allows people to ascend the economic ladder and at the same time meets the basic needs of those at the bottom end of the economic scale, preventing societal evolution to revolution. Human history is fairly clear on how this game is played.
