Why It's Hard to Replace the 'Fiscal Cliff' Metaphor
The term "Fiscal Cliff" was probably formulated in some Wall Street PR Department and meant to leverage the "Shock Doctrine" strategy to terrify the population to engage in self-defeating decision making in order to protect and enrich the Big Boys. Since there are only a handful of people in Washington I have any trust in whatsoever, I think we should just go over the "Fiscal Cliff" and see where that leaves us. I would rather see the Nation experience the supposed misery first hand than have the misery explained by self-serving charlatans.
I suspect this is all a tempest in a teapot anyway, because when I hear supposedly serious legislators, like Senator Graham, warn that the United States will wind up like Greece if drastic actions aren't taken I know we are being conned.
