John Boehner: Congress 'Never Going To Give Up' Debt Ceiling Powers (VIDEO)

The Congress is obligated by Section 4 of the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution to pay the US Public Debt:

"The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. "

It would be unconstitutional for Congress to refuse to pay the debt lawfully incurred by previous Congresses, and could be considered an act of insurrection against the US Government by members of Congress who participate in preventing payment.

The Congressional Oath of Office:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God"

There is no Constitutional Debt Ceiling Power granted to Congress.

Your move, Tea Party Republicans.
