The situation in Egypt is far too unstable for any election occurring now to have any long term meaning. Morsi is overplaying his hand and tempting insurgency. This power grab will backfire on the Muslim Brother, and only make the situation in Egypt more unstable. The people had an uprising against the tyranny of Mubarak, not to open the door to the tyranny of the Muslim Brotherhood. Morsi has made a HUGE miscalculation.
How long will the Egyptian economy function without tourism, for instance? There is a lot of mythology behind the Muslim Brotherhood's actions. If they want Egypt to follow the path of Afghanistan into instability and degradation, Morsi has certainly found the recipe for that.
