Is Health Care Part of the "Fairy Dust" Talk About the Fiscal Cliff?

I hate to break your heart but 90% of the debt incurred during President Obama's first term was due to Republican fiscal policies crashing the economy in 2008, requiring TARP and Stimulus to address the damage the Republicans caused. Additionally, as you know, the Bush Administration hid the costs of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan off the budget, as well as the cost for the unfunded Pharma Medicare Part D giveaway, and when the Obama Administration responsibly moved Bush's hidden expenditures back onto the books the debt increased ... so the debt you are railing against is actually Republican debt.



Another thing to remember, when Republican policies caused the crash of 1929, and the Great Depression, the failure didn't transfer from Hoover to FDR after the election. Just as in 1929, George W Bush is as responsible for the economic crash of 2008 today as he was when he left office ... just like Hoover is saddled with the responsibility for the Crash of 29 and the Great Depression.
