Go over the "Fiscal Cliff" and let the Republicans try to claw back benefits lost to the rich in 2013 under the glare of the spot lights .... I like that idea.
Not pointed out here is that many of the social programs due to take a hit with sequestration harm the Red State constituents of the Republicans, so the GOP takes the hit both ways. Framing of the cuts to social programs to imply a loss for those on the Left is disingenuous, for those cuts will harm middle and lower class Americans across the political spectrum and the Republican's finger prints will be all over those cuts going into the 2014 Midterm Elections.
