Well, we all need to remember that the Individual Mandate idea emanated from the Heritage Foundation, so if it is struck down it is actually a loss for the Right not the Left. Additionally, if the Individual Mandate is struck down, as David Frum points out, it damns the Right's goal of privatizing Social Security under the Chilean Model ... yet another loss for the Right.
If the Individual Mandate is ruled unconstitutional then a new day dawns for Comprehensive Universal Single Payer Health Care ... which is a victory for the Left. So, I am actually happy to see the way the Individual Mandate issue is looking to play out.
Furthermore, in June, if the Supreme Court strikes down the ACA, on the ground of the Heritage Foundation's Individual Mandate idea, it both condemns the For Profit Health Care Industry to bankruptcy, for the industries business model is fatally flawed ... and in June, all of the benefits that Americans are currently enjoying under Obamacare, but probably don't recognize they are, will be withdrawn ... thanks to the Republicans and the Conservatives on the Supreme Court ... another victory for the Left.
I'm icing the champagne now for June. Roberts Court do your duty, and strike down Obamacare!
