In First Interview Since Bangladesh Factory Collapse, Benetton CEO Confirms Company's Tie To Tragedy
The moral thing would be for the foreign companies utilizing contractors in Bangladesh to do, would be to demand ALL factories where their products are produced be checked for safety violations IMMEDIATELY, with the threat to the Bangladeshi business community to relocate all business to other countries unless FULL SAFETY COMPLIANCE is met. In corrupt nations, nothing gets the authorities on the stick faster than a threat to their personal livelihood. And three unauthorized floors added to a factory built on swampland signifies a corrupt political and business climate.
