Keeping Up the Fight Against Child Sex Trafficking
Ms Jarrett, I fear something has been left out of the equation. Let me add it.
The punishment for engaging in the human trafficking / slavery of human beings in the United States of America should be the Death Penalty. This should be a zero tolerance crime akin to the Dada Means Death campaign in Malaysia for drug traffickers. Any individual who comes in contact with a victim of human trafficking or slavery and doesn't alert the authorities is automatically a co-conspirator in a Capital Crime ... be it in the field of agriculture, or a trucker at a rest stop, or at a massage parlor in Chinatown. If an individual, in anyway, shape, or form empowers human trafficking, or slavery, or benefits for the proceeds of such vile human exploitation their destination should be Death Row, and the punishment addressed in an expedited fashion.
The United States of America lost over 600,000 citizens in a Civil War to end the scourge of slavery in this nation, and any individual, foreign or citizen, who has reintroduced this villainy must be identified and permanently removed from the equation, just as the victims must have their freedom and humanity returned to them..
Anything short of this is failure.
