In a nation of 310 million people the NRA boasts an anemic membership of 4.2 million Americans in a nation of vastly more guns. The only reason the NRA has a platform is because it represents gun manufacturers .... does it now make sense that the NRA's response to Newtown was a demand that Congress allocate whatever funds are necessary to put armed guards in every US school?
The NRA isn't about protecting the 2nd Amendment on its "virtues", or protecting children in their schools.
No.
The NRA is about one thing and one thing only ... GUN AND AMMUNITION SALES.
That's it ... all there is.
The NRA's game is to do whatever it takes to get the maximum amount of guns and ammo sold.
