Here is the cure for the Debt Ceiling game.
Geithner states that as of such-and-such a date the United States will not be able to pay its bills due to the debt ceiling and there are no more maneuvers that the Treasury can do to change that.
Bernanke then states that the Federal Reserve has no tools available to intervene in the US Debt payment crisis.
President Obama then comes out and says that he wishes there was something he could do but the "Debt Ceiling" is a gimmick the Congress invented and it is a problem the Congress must solve without the Executive Branch. Obama then goes on to say that there will be no negotiations with the Congress on this issue.
Harry Reid then comes out and says that he is putting forth a bill to eliminate the "Debt Ceiling" saying the 14th Amendment Section 4 is unambiguous about the Congress' responsibility to pay the nation's bills, and the "Debt Ceiling" is an impediment to Congress performing its Constitutional Duty.
Nancy Pelosi then comes out and states that she is prepared to support Harry Reid's bill, adding that once the "Debt Ceiling" becomes a barrier to the Congress performing its Constitutional responsibility it is time for it to be eliminated.
At this point the Republicans own the fate of the US Economy, US Markets, World Economy, and the US as the World Economic Leader.
The Republicans will cave again.
