Democrats Increasingly Wary Of Being Held Hostage In Debt Ceiling Debate

The Democrats are on notice. Since the DLC takeover of the party it has been migrating to the Republican position with consistenc­y. While waving around a couple of token liberal members in the Media, the core Vichy Dem majority has been quietly goosestepp­ing to the Corporate Right's siren song for decades now.



If the Democrats cave again the United States has officially become a one party political system, just like the USSR before it.



Does the Democratic Party exist as an entity independen­t of the Republican­s or not? The outcome of this standoff determines that without question.



I can support an independen­t Democratic Party, I cannot support a Democratic Party that is merely a whithered appendage of the Republican­s.
