Let's be clear here, what the Republican
s are selling is Country Club Populism, not Populism, and slowly but surely the American people, including the Republican
s own Tea Party base, are cluing into that fact. Remember there was a Television Show about the Eisenhower era of 90% taxes on the top income earners and it was called "Happy Days".
The President needs to push the raising taxes on the rich, closing corporate loopholes, and institutin
g a transactio
n tax on Wall Street. It is obvious to anyone honestly looking at the situation that the United States has a revenue problem that throwing the elderly off Medicare and Social Security won't solve.
