Another thing that Senator Reid must contemplate is that if the Republicans are successful in blockading legislative action through abuse of the filibuster for the next two years that in the midterm election they will use the stagnation as an argument to wrest control of the Democratic Party Senate majority.
And one more thing, let's not be naive here, if the Republicans take charge and Mitch McConnell takes over, he will not allow the Democrats to play the same game against him as he has against them. The Republicans will eliminate the filibuster entirely if they take control ... don't kid yourselves.
