Broad Powers Seen For Obama In Cyberstrikes - NYTimes.com

Entering the arena of Active Cyber Warfare the US will find itself at parity with its enemy for the first time in 60 years. The United States, being a highly specialized society, has far more delicate and penetrable computer systems than its adversaries, so whether you are talking in terms of infrastructure, defense, finance, medical .... name it ... the United States is a target rich environment.
Add to the equation that globalism has resulted in many US Corporations relocating data centers, and other critical IT resources abroad and the exposure to Cyber attacks or retaliation is multiplied.
The US is really tempting fate here.
