No matter how much the Republican
s kick, scream. and wet their pants while flailing about on the floor in a rich man's tantrum ... the United States has a revenue problem. If we want to address the debt and deficits we need to cut subsidies and raise taxes.

bly cutting taxes for thirty years. It doesn't take a genius to note that, starting with Reagan, as tax cuts began to take effect for Corporatio
ns and the Wealthy the National debt and yearly deficits began to rise. It is a direct, observable correlatio
n.
This debt ceiling tantrum of the Republican
s isn't heroic, it is petty. If the Republican
's were really serious about addressing the debt and deficits (which they aren't) they would be talking of increasing revenue by raising taxes on those groups that have gotten pass on paying their fair share, for the last thirty years, at the Nation's expense.
